Istari has shown successfully through 2nd level dressage with his amateur owner, Steve Pope, earning multiple championships along the way. His pedigree is a combination of old and new Egyptian, Crabbet and Davenport lines.

Istari possesses excellent conformation with very correct legs. He has an exceptionally strong topline and boasts three superb gaits well-suited for the SPORTHORSE disciplines. Although a stallion, he has shown that he posesses the mind and discipline to excel at dressage. Even more important as a sire, he consistently passes on these tremendous qualities to his offspring.

Istari has both purebred and half-arabian get and has crossed particularly well with Trakehner mares (see pictures). His babies are competing successfully in dressage, combined training and endurance/competitive trail.
